Who: Alison "Dazzler" Blaire and Clint "Hawkeye" Barton
NPCs: Muggers, random NYCers
When: October, 2006, evening [backdated!]
Where: New York City, NY!
What: Alison's just leaving her apartment in the middle of the night, as she is want to do when someone tries to jack her. Enter in C. Barton, who helps her out!
Alison didn't know the definition of busy until she started teaching at Xavier's School. She commuted there five days, sometimes six, a week from the City out to Westchester and back again. She taught music appreciation all while fulfilling all the other obligations she had. Thankfully, there were some advantages to being based in NYC again, like the talk show circuit. And the nightlife. Sure, she might have had homework to grade, but it was Friday night. It seemed life forever since she had done anything fun.
Homework be damned, Alison was going out.
Schlepping a crate of records, she made for the street level, skipping down the steps of her brownstone and set them there, stacking her keytar on top. She had just turned her back two seconds to grab the second crate and to lock the door. Alison should have known better. Really. Although to her defense, she had lived at this location now for a few years and nothing bad had ever happened. Knock on wood.
She had gotten this feeling that someone was behind her, but ultimately mistook her senses for the wind, or someone down the street- blowing them off. She shouldn't have ignored her gut because there was someone behind her... or rather, there had been someone behind her. Not now. Obviously, once they were done jacking her stuff, they didn't stick around too long.
Wheeling around at the sudden sound of sneakers pounding on the pavement, Alison shouted after the thief. "Hey! That's my keytar!" With a bounding leap Alison cleared all five steps of her brownstone. "God damn it," she hissed, sending a sweeping glance to her her right and left to see if anyone was around to see in which direction keytar went.
Where was her friendly neighborhood Spider-Man when she needed him? Not here, apparently.
