Repercussions Who: Victor Von Doom When: Directly after This Meeting Where: Latverian Embassy, NYC What: Doom contemplates his next steps Rating: PG
Victor Von Doom sat at his desk in the aftermath of his meeting with Susan. And her tag-along brother. That she had come simply to warn him, to threaten him, well he couldn't be surprised.
Victor tugged off his leather glove. The door was sealed now, the windows one way. He tossed both gloves on the desk, flexing his hands which were increasingly crisscrossed with dull gleaming stripes of metal. The metal flexed as well as his skin but it felt ... different.
Pressing his palm on the desk, it slid apart, exposing a touch screen beneath. Quickly tapping and dragging his fingertips across it, Victor pulled up the windows he wanted. "Reed Richards," he spoke into the computer, calibrating his search. "Current projects." Victor glanced through the results, tidbits from conferences and publications, work orders and shipments. Susan had mentioned something about a dimension scanner in passing. Victor had already set his mind to work determining how Reed would construct such a device.
Electron synchotron technology. Reed couldn't keep himself from speaking about the technology to some curious science journalist. An interest of his, he said. Victor could see how the technology could be used to probe for other dimensions. Some quick research into purchases and shipments to the Baxter Building confirmed activity in that area.
Richards made it almost too easy, Doom thought to himself. Tapping out some instructions for Doom Industries on the screen, Victor gazed at the door where Susan and Johnny had recently left. She could see it whichever way she liked. She was right about one thing, suspecting that Victor would never let it rest. Not after what Richards had done to him. Never.
