WHO: Lorna and OPEN
NPCs: N/A
WHAT: Lorna's in the gym
WHEN: This morning
WHERE: X-factor HQ Gym
RATING: Probably not high.
Lorna grabbed her water bottle off the bench it had been sitting on. And while it hadn't been as cold as she might have liked (after all it had been sitting there for a while now), but it was still needed and felt good after a long work out.
Lorna hadn't been able to sleep very well last night. Everything was starting to weigh too heavily on her head. Charts of connections, files, they were starting to invade her dreams. When all this was over she was going to need a vacation. Instead she'd woken up for her restless sleep, had an early breakfast, and proceeded to make with the beating up of various things for the next hour or so.
She had to admit it made her feel a little better, if only a hair and only a little bit, because she was sure that when she left here she'd walk past something to put her in a bad mood again.
But she wasn't leaving yet. She looked around the gym with a long stretch before grabbing a box and settling down cross legged in the middle of the gym. Practice was one thing, throwing things around like a blunt instrument, but this was fine motor control. Small objects, different directions, different speeds... Combining metal, separating it.
The ball bearings she had in the box floated up in front of her head. A few flattened out into small discs, folding at her command while the others stayed the same but start moving in a circle around her. She'd just add more and more as time went on. She'd found if she added too much she began to forget what was doing what and these things would all start acting alike. But she was getting better.
At her command the bearings that had become discs lined up and folded up around themselves to make a larger ball. "Come on, no cracks."
Lorna Dane car thrower extraordinaire, but crack leaving when combining metal. Brilliant.
At least it some something else to concentrate on.
