Amara didn't know much about weddings either. Marriage meant something different where she grew up, and while many of the gestures of commitment were the same, the scale of everything was entirely different. She didn't have opinion on how their decorations could be a better expression of their union, and with all of it on her shoulders, she was troubled.
"I hear the bride and groom do not have time to eat much during the party," Amara murmured, flipping through the books and descriptions of what they could have. She was tense whenever she had to do anything wedding related, and she could not shake the way her shoulders clenched. She loved Doug, and she was happy to be marrying him. She just wasn't entirely happy to be planning a wedding.
