Vampire VS Hannibal Lecter. That's an interesting movie concept. It could either be truly hokey, or really intriguing and suspenseful. Jono wasn't really fond of the idea of some guy always watching Jubilee, waiting for her to muck something up so he'd have an excuse. And he wasn't sure he was fond of the idea of said guy tagging along on whatever outing they managed. But if it had to be done, it had to be done, he supposed.
Listen. He switched gears into seriousness. One way or the other, you and I are going to go have a night on the town. They can either let it happen legitimately, give their blessings, and send Buffy to watch over us. Or, and it's kind of sounding like more fun, we're just going to go. You will have time out of this box, and you will feel like yourself again.
Jono wasn't going to let the promise go for anything. He knew how she felt. He knew how scary it could be in the world outside when you were worried about hurting people. But he also knew how great it felt to have the freedom back. To see things up close. To experience life. And maybe it was partly for himself that he was doing this, too. He knew that he'd begun to shut himself away again, with him pushing her and her pushing him, perhaps they could break out of the isolation together.
