"I love California," Jubilee said, "I mean, my team was based in northern Cali, which isn't bad or anything, it's nice. But I miss SoCal. Long Beach, shopping, running into celebs randomly." She felt nostalgic for her home. The land of movie stars and sunshine, though not the Sunshine State. Close enough. If she ever went to Cali again, she'd need to carry an umbrella with her all the time to shield her skin.
The questions about reversing it were answered with silence at first. Jubilee lifted her legs to bring her knees to her chest and let the arches of her feet rest on the edge of the chair. "They don't know yet," she said, "Doc Bradley is trying to figure out if they can cure it. See if they can reverse it. I'm hoping..." And she really was.
"I want a cure," she said, "I mean, who doesn't want a cure other than crazy ladies who read dirty vampire books. It's not as glamorous as books and movies make it sound."
