Carol half expected Namor to tell her to buck up and deal with it. But instead he was telling her he was sorry about her brother and even wished her luck. The only surprise she felt was that he didn't tell her to toughen up. She watched as he nodded and as he moved away she said, "Thank you." There was little more to say beyond that, and she found herself impressed by it. But he was leaving and she was going to be left to a work out room where she could finish preparing herself for her trip.
The flight would only take a couple of hours, then she'd have time to distract herself until the day finally came. For now she would ponder and then that moment would come, and then it would be over. If there was anything Carol was grateful for at that moment though, it was that the moment would pass and she'd come back here.
And maybe she'd think of Namor better than a powerful ally, and with a bit more respect than she usually showed. But that didn't mean that in future sparring matches she'd go easy on him.
