Main Stage: Carol & Namor & Open
Carol thought his parades sounded a little too Ancient Greece and not all that fun. Yay for the hunt! But she kept that thought to herself, grateful that Namor wasn't a telepath. If he was, he'd probably get annoyed, and so far, this conversation wasn't bad. "Sounds exciting," she commented and as she looked down, she watched a family watching. A father and mother, two boys and a girl. The reminded her of her own family when she was little, only they were happier.
"What?" Carol looked at Namor startled. Had he been reading her mind? No, he couldn't be. Holidays, he was talking about the holidays. People spent the holidays with their family. Not Carol, she hung around with her friends. Or drank a lot. Usually both. Unfortunately, drinking was no longer an option for her.
She bristled a little bit, regardless of whether or not she concluded he was just talking about a topic typical of the season. Carol stared at the parade, "Yeah, I have family. We don't talk." They barely spoke before, but after Steve's death it was cut off entirely. She had called her father recently, but it had been so painfully awkward she hadn't called him against since and he hadn't made efforts to call her.
