He believed that she'd had her fill - more than it, probably, considering the trouble it had caused and the loss of her freedom. Scott had no intention of holding her back, but he also was under no illusions that just because she said there would be no problem that the threat wasn't there.
"I think that you are - and will continue to be - a valuable asset to the team," he told her. "But I need a promise from you that if you do come into contact with the Avengers - whether as a member of the X-Men or not - you'll keep your temper, no matter what happens. I don't care if they start it, you need to keep a handle on your temper and let me sort out the details."
Raising an eyebrow, he looked at her. This wasn't a term for her rejoining the team - not really. He knew her intentions were good, otherwise this wouldn't even be a conversation. This was personal; if she got into another situation like before, it would be bad for her on a multitude of levels, and he wanted to do whatever it took to prevent that from happening again. "You come to me, and we'll work it out together. Okay?"
