"I'm doing fine," he offered, waiting until she'd gotten herself settled.
"So, I'm guessing you're here because you want to talk about rejoining the X-Men," he said, diving right in. Sitting back in his chair, Scott extended his legs beneath his desk, crossing them at the ankles and looking a lot more comfortable than he felt. "You were in a really bad place when I made the decision to suspend you, and I want you to know how impressed I am with the progress you've made since then. I've seen that you've not only come back from where you were, but surpassed that."
He smiled, extremely proud of her for that. "I'm happy to offer you a place back on the team, but there is something you need to know about before you accept it." His smile faded. "Ro has been speaking with Captain America quite a bit, and she negotiated for the Avengers and the X-Men to work together on occasion. Not always, and not everyone - I wouldn't expect you to do it - nor, I don't think, would I want you to yet. But I think it's something you should be aware of."
