Re: Reception: Dinner & Mingling: Tony and Steve
Tony was a bit surprised to hear the apology from Steve, not because Steve wasn't prone to apologies, but because Steve, he'd felt at least, rarely said what he didn't mean. Steve was collected that way, calm and cool that way; so, when Steve had said what he'd said, Tony knew it had to hold merit and truth. Yet Steve wasn't taking back what he said, only that he was sorry he said it. Tony could understand that, he supposed, though Stark was rarely one to go back on his own statements.
That being said, the apology was probably good enough. Tony had no real reason to hold a grudge, the only reason he held this one at all (which he didn't deem as a grudge) was for Pepper's sake, and for what Steve had said to her.
He watched Steve for a moment, then took another drink, "Namor does require a bit of babysitting, yes, but really he should just be sold to Joe's Crab Shack or a Long John Silver's as a mascot." He then set the glass down before raising his brow.
"Alright, I guess we can at least talk about working together again. That being said, I'm not coming back to The Avengers, they're yours. The West Coast breed needs a push, and that's me. And I'm not the one you need to apologize to, it's Pepper."
