THREAD: purple + red = ? Who: Kate Bishop, Matt Murdock NPCs: bad guys When: 05.29.2013 -- nighttime Where: New York City, NY What: Knightress and Daredevil meet. Also, ninja-types. Rating: PG-13 (for violence, methinks)
Most Wednesday nights, Kate did not patrol. She'd tried going out on weeknights but, between school and miscellaneous extracurricular activities, it was just too much. This week, however, she had way too much pent up energy to just sit at home. Finals were just around the corner and it felt like all of her free time was being spent studying and writing final papers. It was enough to drive a girl insane.
Or, you know, to vigilanteism. (Was that even a word? Yeah, her brain could not handle this right now.)
Kate was grateful that whatever her purple suit was made out of breathed well because it was still stupidly warm out thanks to the humidity. She suppressed a yawn and wondered if there was less crime mid-week because it seemed like there wasn't much happening but it wasn't like criminals had to be up the next day for their jobs, right? But maybe there were less people out to rob because most of them had to work the next day?
She wrinkled her nose. This was starting to feel like a math problem. God, it was like she just couldn't get away from school! It just followed her everywhere.
Luckily, that was when Kate saw the ninjas. (Lucky being, of course, a relative term, since it was probably not lucky to run into ninjas ever but she was still grateful for the distraction. Actually, since she'd spotted them, maybe they were less ninjas and more skulking dudes in black because ninjas were supposed to be stealthy, right? Whatever.) Anyway, the dudes in black were on the next rooftop and, from what she could tell, seemed to be breaking in. Which was not cool.
So Kate pulled out her bow and an arrow and began to lay down some warning shots. Her thinking being that they were somewhat hard to pinpoint what with them wearing all black and it being night time; she didn't want to accidentally kill someone. Plus, if she shot around their entry point it would keep them out, right? (Seemed logical to her. Of course her brain was kind of addled but... whatever.)
