Vampires. Oh vampires and their same tired old tactics over and over again. The monster in the park the other day had been a break from the norm, but now it was back to vampires and their whole thing of tracking someone into an alley and then ripping out the jugular.
He had been stalking the vampire, who had been stalking the woman for a block now, and so he was not quite on the vampires heels when it moved down the alley, but close enough. He pulled a stake out of his coat, moved forward to shove it through the vampires back and -
Some of the groceries had spilled out of the bag. Hannibal slipped on some milk that had spilled out of the cartoon and stumbled forward, crashing into the vampire, and pinning him into the wall, or rather into his intended snack.
The vampire made a muffled noise, and elbowed Hannibal, and sent Hannibal reeling back. That hurt - but it seemed the vampire was now more concerned with killing both of them then feeding on the woman.
