Monet smirked at Jubilee, amused by how wound up her mere appearance had made the other woman. She really ought to learn not to give so much power to others. (Not that Monet would be teaching her this lesson.) "I'll believe that when I see it."
Her attention was redirected, however, by the arrival of a woman with green hair. "At least someone here seems to know what's going on." (This was said more as an insult to Jubilee than a compliment to Lorna.) Monet waved cheerily at her former classmate's hasty retreat.
Then Monet finally returned Lorna's introduction: "Monet St. Croix, at your service." Well, more at the team's service, really, but if this was one of the leaders, then it was a mostly true statement.
"Would you show me to my room first? I'd like to move my luggage inside as soon as possible." The majority of it was, after all, still piled on the stoop and she didn't trust that her things would be safe in this neighborhood.
