Who: Scott Summers (OT Emma and Hank) NPCs: Madelyne Pryor When: 3/19 (backdated) Where: Xavier's School What: Maddy checks in with Scott about the disappearance of Jean Grey Rating: PG-13
As she made her way up the path to Xavier's School, Maddy had to wonder what she was doing with her life. After all she had done to save their credibility, the airline was happy to give her some extended time off, but she had to question herself on what she was spending that time on. She had booked a hotel near the mutant school, just to be around in case they needed anything, and that wasn't an every day occurrence. She found herself trying to understand more deeply who Jean Grey was and what had happened to her, which made no sense since (beyond their uncanny resemblance) she had no connection to the woman.
She was pretty sure she was busting her hump and wasting money on a hotel over a guy, which made her want to kick herself.
Throughout the ordeal, she had found herself inexplicably drawn to Scott Summers. It was the most screwed up attraction ever considering their whole interaction was based around looking for his missing/possibly dead wife. Still, she found herself wanting to be near him, wanting to be able to bolster and comfort him. Everyone in the school seemed to miss Jean Grey, but few people seemed interested in helping support a man who was suffering so deeply. They knew Scott--didn't they see the pain written all over his face?
She made her way inside, adopting body language that she had developed to help people know that she was not Jean (hunched shoulders, not making eye contact...) Everyone seemed used to it by now. She made her way to Scott's office, knocking at the door frame. "Hey...you wanted to talk?"
