Who: Mary Jane Watson & Harry Osborn NPCs: N/A When: March 9, 2012 @ Noon Where: Some fancy restaurant What: Having lunch with Harry to catch up on friendly things and try to figure out where Peter is because she can't get a hold of him. Rating: PG?
The move back to New York had gone a lot smoother than she thought it would have. The fact that she managed to land an apartment instead of having to move back into her home was definitely a plus. She thought about moving in for a week or so just to check in her mother, but decided to just drop in and check on the woman instead. While she did that, she could go next door and see how Aunt May was doing. In that vein, she would've been able to found out how Peter had been doing.
She'd be lying if she said she'd meant to check up on him sooner. Mary Jane had been busy throwing herself into her new life and attempting to get a career afloat for the last few years. That hadn't panned out as well as she would have liked. It appeared nothing was going to be going to plan as she'd been standing on the Parker doorstep for a few minutes waiting for someone to answer. Her parents didn't know what was going on. Her aunt hadn't heard from the woman in a week or so either. Maybe they'd just gone on vacation?
She knew she should've called.
At least, she got a hold of Harry. Thank God for Harry Osborn. He'd be able to tell her what was up. She thought about just doing the call thing, but he had suggested lunch and it'd been a while since she hung out with him. It would be a lot easier to meet with him and talk about things than it would be with Peter. Sure, Harry and MJ had their sour moments, but it wasn't the same. She needed to work up on meeting her almost husband.
So when the car pulled around to her apartment, she easily climbed in without question. The trip to the restaurant was thankfully not as long as it could've been considering the traffic. Allowing the chauffeur to open the door, she took his hand to be helped out of the back seat and looked up at the exterior of the establishment. "Classy," she said with a smile before entering the building. After a few words were exchanged with the maƮtre d, she had her coat and purse checked in, and was led to the table.
