"Comparatively quiet," Maria answered with a glance up towards the screens. New York crowds were thick in Time's Square, with the official footage only showing the half of it. She idly wondered how many were off-duty SHIELD agents letting loose and getting quite drunk. If they ended up on national TV, she'd have to revoke their clearance on grounds of idiocy.
She gave a grunt at the news that Stark was being difficult: new year was starting just like the old years. Turning, she cued up one of the computers to retrieve the relevant information. "Override codes," she repeated as she settled in to digging. Then something tickled her mind, and in her own fit of lunacy, she asked, "Stark's done what..." Secretary? One of the office workers at his company, or... "Potts?" she asked. Contrary to media expectations, not everyone followed every detail of celebrity lives, and as long as the Avengers were keeping out of prison, she heard enough of Stark already to follow what he was doing off-duty.
