What:Does anything say ‘Christmas’ quite like hunting vampires?

He wouldn’t have called himself a Grinch – but it was fair to say that this Christmas Eve, Hannibal wasn’t feeling all ‘Peace On earth and Goodwill Towards All’. In fact, as he found himself crouched behind a dumpster, clutching a stake in one hand, he found himself filled with the urge to say ‘bah humbug.’ It was cold. It was Christmas Eve. He was pretty sure that he was going to go home smelling like garbage tonight. If there was ever a time to say Bah Humbug . . .
The vampires that Hannibal had known when he had been part of the fang set, well they hadn’t let a little thing like Christmas Eve stand in their way of a meal. So because vampires had that mindset, the people that hunted them had to have that mindset too.
Hannibal shifted a bit, as he tried to get a bit more comfortable. This was giving whole new meaning to the word ‘stake out’. He was here in this alley, waiting for a vampire to show, so he could stake the sucker, consider his good dead for the day done and go home and get some sleep.
Reaching up with his free hand, he adjusted the toque on his head. Maybe in the spirit of the season he should have gone for a Santa Hat to keep his head warm ...
