Who: Jen and Pepper NPCs: --- When: 9/16 Where: S.H.I.E.L.D. Medical Facility What: Pepper sits with a recuperating Jen. Rating: PG-13
While she was certainly feeling a lot less pained, in part thanks to the drugs that S.H.I.E.L.D. had been nice enough to give her, Jen still had a hard road to recovery ahead. The frustrating thing was knowing that everything would be 100% better if she could just transform, since she could heal these wounds in the blink of an eye as She-Hulk. As it was, she was stuck like this in her well-tenderized regular form.
She was coming to after another painkiller induced nap, eyes slowly creeping open. She groaned, her whole body feeling stiff from the last few hours in the hospital bed. After being held captive for three weeks, she was happy for every chance she got to walk around, but with her health the way it was, she was still spending most of her time lying down, tied up to monitors instead of being tied up to restraints.
Some agents had tried to speak with her about what had happened, but she had been keeping what transpired during those three weeks largely to herself. It had been the kind of experience that shook a person's worldview entirely, and she felt fundamentally changed, not necessarily for the better. She knew that all the S.H.I.E.L.D.ies had a job to do, but they had no idea what she had lived through. She planned on keeping it that way.
She pushed herself up a bit, sitting hunched over her raised knees. She ran her hands through her hair, trying to shake off the post-nap sleepiness, trying to focus her thoughts on anything really.
