"America." The offering of her name was simple, unoffensive, and held no notable traces of attitude as she reached out to shake this guys hand. Admittedly, if they were anywhere else, meeting anyone else aside from Karolina's life long friends this would have been a very different meeting. There would have been no attempt at keeping her voice without disdain, no handshake, and likely it all would have earned a narrowing of her eyes as well. Yet, none of that was to be done here. That wasn't how you treated your girlfriend's friends, even if she wasn't from this dimension that was just basic common sense. "Not much." Really, shouldn't he know what was up....? He was hosting this whole damn mess at his place....
Regardless, a brief nod would be given to him - America not backing down or shying away in her posture or body language in the least - before entering the apartment behind Karolina. In fact, America was just about to ask if the other woman was sure she didn't need some help when a semi-familiar face appeared from the kitchen and America instantly felt somewhat awkward as this purple haired chick had been checked out more than once while the bruiser had kicked around the halls of Stark. Damn. Why did Karolina have to have hot female friends?
"Hey." A nod was given to Gertrude with a nod as America's eyes darted to follow Karolina for a moment before turning back to the woman before her. "Yeah." A beat as she wasn't really sure what else to say, while at the same time not feeling like there was really much to say. "Thanks for having me." And there was another hand to shake - against her general nature - before America shifted.
"Need help with anything?" It was only polite, and some manners from her up bringing were remembered, even if she actively chose not to engage with them much.
