Gert arrived before everyone else had. She and Chase had sort of gotten back together. They were giving it another shot. Their previous break-up had been with a lot of butting heads and they were kinda miserable with out each other. Sure, they managed to do a lot, but it was hard not to want to be around each other. Gert's logical mind tried to come up with good reasons, but she could be pretty illogical as well. That illogical part of her said "fuck it" and kissed Chase.
She was in the kitchen finishing the food prep that she and Chase started on. They'd spent a portion of it before getting Molly making-out because some food didn't take hours to prep like others did. Gert didn't look it though. Her purple hair was pulled into a low braid and she came out of the kitchen cleaning her hands off on a cloth.
"Hey," she greeted and then her eyes fell on America. She recognized the girl from the school and came over, "There's a counter clear for you, Lina. You're America." It was Gert's turn to offer a hand and she seemed a little more reserved than Chase. Okay, not reserved, but observant. Like she was determining whether or not this girl was someone she was going to let in.
