AIM Base: Avengers - Team One
Jen was kind of amazed at how much of this fight had boiled down to the actions of raging nerds. AIM, of course, had set up the crazy base, done the kidnapping, made themselves a viable enough threat to get on SHIELD's naughty list, but it was Tony's obsessive fact-checking that had gotten them good enough intelligence to get them here on AIM's doorstep.
Her role in this was simple enough. She was there to smash things and draw fire. The fine agents of SHIELD had warned her repeatedly that they did not now what kind of arsenal AIM had waiting for her, but everyone seemed to be acting on an unspoken understanding that nobody had yet to find a viable way to neutralize a Hulk on a rampage (and not for lack of trying).
The alpha team was going deepest into the compound to rescue Obadiah while the others hung back to keep AIM busy. When they reached their point of entry, she stepped forward to do what she did best. The stairs would be too much of a choke point, and everyone had decided the most direct route down to the lower levels would be best. She wriggled her fingers into the elevator door, finding a grip as she peeled the heavy metal door loose. She glanced down the open shaft and with a quick wave to the others she cannonballed down, landing on the elevator car with a loud crunch. "I think it's out of service!" she called up before her voice was drowned out by the sound of sirens.
