"But you can prove him wrong. You can prove everyone wrong. You can be what everyone says you won't become. That suit was your greatest achievement. Yours. Hobby or not, you saved New York with that thing," she argued moving closer. Her fingers undid the first few buttons of her blouse revealing the glowing circle beneath it. "You made this. You saved my life with it, Tony. I would have died if it wasn't for you. You didn't go out looking for trouble or money with either of these things. You used them, mostly, to help the world."
She took a breath. "I doubt he planned to die this early just to spite you, Tony. His entire life could not have been devoted to making you feel terrible. Are you listening to what you're saying? None of it even makes sense," she said with a sigh. "You're going to let an outside influence, something even your father didn't have control over, keep you from realizing your dreams? You're going to let them beat you and your father's expectations of who you are and what you can become? He didn't spend all that time on money on you because he had to, Tony." She highly doubted she was placed in her position to watch over Tony as a punishment for saving Howard's life either. "Did I ever tell you how I met him?"
