Subject: Field Trip

Esteemed Faculty,

You may recall I put in the bid for the field trip much earlier this year and it seems an opportune moment has finally come to fruition. The right set of circumstances has presented itself at Shaw Industries, a chance for the students to tour our facility in Philadelphia.

Before notifying the students, I want to ensure the date of Friday March 13 2015 poses no conflicts for other faculty. The trip would be subsidized by my company so students would not have to pay out of pocket. Lunch will be catered on the day and I require only one additional chaperone or bus driver.

I feel this change of scenery might be a much needed break for our young scholars as well as an opportunity to invigorate inspiring minds.
