Log: SHIELD Called (Greer & Amadeus)
Characters: Greer Grant & Amadeus Cho
NPCs: —
Location: Greer & Amadeus's condo
Timeline: September 15, 2024
Description: Greer wakes up Amadeus to let him know that SHIELD would like him to come in and consult. What better way to get him to agree than sending his girlfriend, amirite?
Rating: R, they be nekkie, but that's it
Greer came home the night before with an order from SHIELD. Not so much an order, as much as it was a request. They needed Amadeus's expertise on something, or that's what Agent Yorkes said told them, and since Greer was living with Amadeus, it made sense to send her to ask him to come since she was going to see him anyway. By the time she got home though, she decided that she wanted to tell him in the morning. Amadeus worked enough with SHIELD to know that Greer worked as one of their agents, since it was more her speed than typical police work, so her telling him that SHIELD wanted him to come to consult wasn't anything new. But still, as brief as asking him would take, she instead brought the two of them some Korean barbecue and they had a sort of stay-in date instead. She pressed herself against Amadeus's back where they lay in the large bed they shared in his impressive condo in Manhattan. Underneath the expensive sheets they were both nude. This wasn't all that surprising for Greer, as she preferred to be nude, but Amadeus's current state of undress made it clear the two of them went to bed at a reasonable time, but didn't fall asleep until later. "Good morning," she purred and nipped at his ear, rubbing a hand over his belly, "You hungry?" She could hear the cat-eared Roomba buzzing around the living room. Amadeus modified the original model a few times for Greer over the years, instead of just replacing it with another one. Greer liked it enough that she refused to let him outright switch it out. And when she moved in with Amadeus, it came with her and continued sweeping up the hair she would shed. Amadeus made a noise of approval and opened his eyes to look at Greer. "Not yet," he decided, pulling her closer to him. One of the perks of being the boss meant that the day started when you said it did. He mentally reviewed his schedule. The only important thing was a conference call at one p.m. and that could be done from anywhere. At some point, they'd have to get up, get dressed, and have breakfast but he wasn't in any rush. "You should take today off," Amadeus suggested, shifting slightly to lay a series of kisses up Greer's neck. "Tempting," Greer said with the same purr as before, "very tempting." She had to go to work though, and Amadeus had to go to. She should probably tell him, but maybe after. Her fingers walked over his stomach and then up to stroke over his jaw softly before something big jumped onto the bed and began trying to bury its face into Amadeus's, which meant nudging Greer back. Well, so much for the late morning version of afternoon delight. She reached up to pet the German Shepherd, distracting it from its assault on Amadeus, "Good morning, Laelaps. I take it you want some food, huh?" The dog panted heavily and then returned to staring at Amadeus, looking at him expectantly. "He has food," Amadeus groused, but pet the dog on the head all the same. There were automatic dispensers in the kitchen filled with fresh water and kibble, but it wasn't the same as having leftovers or chicken cooked in the microwave. Laelaps was one spoiled dog and Amadeus only had himself to blame. He got up, stretched, and moved to the dresser, easily ignoring the dog hounding his footsteps. He gave Greer a sheepish look. Even though she got along with his dog, his sense of timing still left much to be desired. "Later," he promised. "Maybe you can sneak out early." Since it was SHIELD, it'd be less sneaking and more leaving early but the same principle applied. Oh, there would be a later, Greer knew that. Amadeus did, after all, decide his own work hours, and she doubted that whatever was going on at SHIELD would take him very long. She didn't get up from the bed though, instead she watched him from the bed, laying on her side and propped up on her elbow. "Maybe we can sneak out early," Greer corrected and then sat up straight, stretching to arch her back before combing her fingers through her hair, "Agent Yorkes requested your consultation on something." Greer got up from the bed and sashayed her way over to Amadeus, giving his bottom a squeeze and then snuck a kiss in. "So, we can go into work together, sneak out early, and grab something to keep Laelaps busy?" Amadeus had turned, giving Greer an inquisitive look, but she was already explaining. Oh, that wasn't that big of a deal. He could find time to help Gert out. It was a lot easier to help out with a problem when they brought you in on the ground floor rather than waiting weeks while the agency seemed to exhaust all their options. He'd learned that timeliness didn't always trump procedure when SHIELD was concerned. But that could wait. He kissed her back, his free hand settling on her waist and pulling her closer. Now that they were out of the bed, Laelaps had lost his advantage and was insistently wagging his tail rather than jumping all over them. Reluctantly, Amadeus broke away. "I can reschedule my call. When do you think you'll finish up?" "Shouldn't be too long today. Just some local stuff that paperwork needs to be done for and some trainees that need their asses kicked, so you know, the usual," Greer said and kept the smile on her face, even though Amadeus was pulling back. She had something to look forward to, that was no reason to frown. She went and grabbed some underwear to pull on, offering, "I can cook us some breakfast. Eggs? Bacon? On biscuits?" She smiled as she walked out of the room and made her way to the kitchen. The apartment was nice, modern, and she rather liked it. Amadeus had good taste. "Or," she said opening the refrigerator door, "Left over Chinese?" As soon as Laelaps realized where Greer was headed, he'd followed her into the kitchen and was underfoot as she opened the door to the refrigerator. Amadeus didn't mind since it gave him a chance to pull on boxers and a tee before moving to join them both in the kitchen. He paused in the doorframe for a moment, watching as Greer moved easily through the kitchen. Over the years, they'd been on as much as off but it seemed that they'd finally managed to figure it out. He moved into the room and opened one of the cabinets, setting plates down on the counter before pulling out glasses. Exciting was all well and good but there was a lot to be said about routine. He moved behind her, wrapping his arms around Greer's waist. "Leftovers are fine," Amadeus said. And they were quicker too. Greer leaned back into Amadeus when he came behind her and turned her head to see him out of the corner of her eye, "We've had worse for breakfast." She smirked at him and her arm reached in, grabbing a couple of the cartons by their thin wire handles and pulled them out. She wished they didn't have to go into SHIELD today, that they could take a day off and just stay in his room, and not necessarily having sex or making out. Just cuddling. Maybe watching a movie together while they did that, and he'd probably tell her all the movie sins in it, and she'd still enjoy the movie. "Come on," she said turning her body to hold up the cartons for him to see, "Let's get and get work over with already. The sooner it's done, the sooner we get out." She leaned in to kiss him again, and then slipped from his hold to go serve them some breakfast. Nothing like day-old Chinese to start the day. Breakfast of champions. |
