Thread: A Cat By A Different Stripe [Extremis] Characters: Greer and T'Challa NPCs: Homeless guy, Drugged up person Location: Streets of NYC Timeline: 6/20 after nightfall Description: T'Challa lends a hand and Greer lends a claw. Rating: PG-13
T'Challa was not the Black Panther, not yet anyway, but he had been trained all his life to take on the role and part of that training was to protect and defend innocent lives. It didn't matter to the Prince of Wakanda if those lives were the people he was beholden to or not, if they were innocent and under threat, then he would rise to their defense.
Such was the case when he was out hunting, traversing rooftops like a soundless shadow in his dark clothes, mask, and Panther herb enhancing his already keen senses. He should save it, he told himself, dropping silently into an alley where a homeless man was being cornered by a woman who was lifting a dumpster over her head to crush him. The Panther herb was sacred and sent to him by his uncle, the current King of Wakanda, to aid his hunt for Klaw. But tonight T'Challa couldn't ignore the needs of the city anymore. He'd taken the herb and disappeared into the night and now, prowling up behind the drugged woman, he didn't regret the use.
A kicking sweep of his leg took the woman down and he caught the dumpster, shoving it aside with his heightened strength to drop harmlessly back in its place. The woman hollered in anger and pushed off the ground with more speed and agility than T'Challa had been expecting, knocking him down beneath her.
