It wasn't until a few days later after her initial capture and arrest that Rogue woke up, but that was to be expected considering they had flooded her with enough tranquilizers to drop an elephant—Rogue was a one-hundred-ten pound five-foot-six girl. She woke up in a daze and feeling sick, her head was pounding something fierce and she couldn't see straight. Oh. And she had been dropped into a cell with Gabriel Winters. That guy. Someone just needed to shoot her and put her out of her misery. Or else, once the fog was lifted, someone was going to get a beat down. ...Or not. Rogue felt heavy from the drugs and slow without her powers. Not to mention every bit as weak as she looked. Hopefully this, too, would pass.
The collar encircling her neck felt heavy—she hated having her powers tampered with, good or bad—and just wanted this thing off and out. So many mutants here, she couldn't help but think. How many powers could she stack? How much destruction could she cause? How many of these guards could she take down? In lieu of finding her happy place which was seeming more and more like a decayed shadow, Rogue settled on thoughts of revenge. She ought to know better now, knowing that it only lead to trouble, but really, right now, it was the only thing that got her out of bed.
She sat there, now, in the indoor recreation facility, in one of the chairs in front of the TV there, slouched down deep in her seat. Her legs were sprawled and she held her head in her hands covering her eyes, rubbing out the wrinkle that creased her forehead, while her elbow rested on the armrest. She was trying to find her zen place, but there was too much garbage in the way clouding her thoughts. Too many memories and too much poison inside of her.
How was she going to get out of this one?
