So Greer had said that people had treat her badly and even throw eggs at her. Now Clint wasn't for anyone picking on the mutants because they had some sort of X-gene or whatever it was, and it bothered him in the way that bullies bothered him, to hear about that stuff. But when a person he considered a friend got shoved around? Clint went to work.
Sure, the store hadn't thrown eggs at her, just told her she couldn't come in. But Clint couldn't track down all the people who had made with the egg chucking, so he was going to get back at the store.
Being a graduate now he didn't have to be back to school at a set time, so he stayed out late, roaming around the streets. Streets that were never empty - this was New York after all, but roaming around and waiting until the streets weren't pack and then ...
Clint swung his backpack off his back, made sure his hoodie was up over his face, that his baseball cap that he was also wearing was pulled down low, and then he reached into his backpack and pulled out some eggs. And then he let them fly at the store front. He might not have had super speed, or strength but Clint had damn good aim, and while he did wish for a moment for some sort of 'egg arrow' he just kept tossing eggs. And a few tomatoes - point was to make a mess. It didn't take long, which was good because time wasn't on his side.
People had noticed what he was up to and had started with the yelling, some seemed to be yelling in favor of what he had done, but a few made with the grabbing, as if to grab him and restrain him. Clint dodged those people, and took off down the street. He ditched his backpack (bought brand new for the sole purpose of carrying the egg and tomatoes) and then a few blocks over once he had lost his pursuit ditched his hoodie and baseball cap.
Then he just sauntered back the way he had just come, joining the people who had formed a little crowd as they look at the store front. He snapped a quick picture with his phone, and then strolled away to find a cab that would take him back to the school.
