Good afternoon all students:

Once again that time of year is upon us. Previously, we assigned your roommates via a complicated system ~~we actually threw darts at a chart in one of empty rooms~~, but have opted this year to allow you to have some voice in the matter.

Attached to this email you will find a copy of the “Roommate Request Form” which allows you to list your top three choices with whom you wish to share a room next year. Please take into consideration that this is a “request” form and ultimately, whomever you share a room will with be decided by the staff. ~~Because there are some of you we know would be a pain in the ass to deal with if you did share a room.~~ When filling out this form, please be sure to fill it out completely, as incomplete forms will be disposed of and disregarded. Also note that any who have the same name repeated over and over again or requesting no roommates will receive the same treatment.

If you are content with allowing us to choose your roommate, then disregard this email.

Those that are graduating, please note that this applies to you as well.

I'm just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone and not send an entirely different email out for the graduates when one will suffice. Just know that this applies to you as well. There is information about the graduate quarters in the rules section of the about the school page.

The thing to know is that the graduate quarters are like mini-condos or apartments. One bedroom/person. They also include a kitchen, a living room, and their own bathroom (with a tub!) which distinguishes them from dorms. It is important to note that graduate condos/apartments are co-ed, but don't be mistaken that it's all going to be smexy times and fun. Your neighbors are your former teachers and now colleagues. Be careful, they're/we're judging you. Also, you get to pick three roommates and not just one.

And finally, these are just suggestions. We'll definitely take them under advisement but as mods we reserve the right to futz with some of them to make them work if we see that they don't jibe. -The Mods
