Rogue just gave a nod and followed where Scott led.
His natural gait might have been a little swifter than hers, but she soon fell into his rhythm and kept pace just fine. She didn't know where they were going, nor did she ask. It really didn't matter in in the long run. No pun intended, of course. It was all about freedom, was the way she saw it. Not being hemmed in, not having her phone on her or her keys and just going wherever she wanted, wherever her feet took her. Hopefully towards adventure, she thought. But that was rather existential, she thought. Clearly, they weren't going to have an adventure tonight, maybe just explore a little bit. And at the very least work up a good sweat.
It wasn't until they had traveled a bit away from the school—a few miles—that Rogue finally broke the silence. When she spoke, she was barely winded.
"What was the deal the other day at lunch?" She asked and hoped she'd get an honest answer. "Ah mean, you don't have t'tell me if you don't want. Ah'm not tryin' to put you out," she added. Because, really, she had been enjoying the run so far and it was nice, she found, to just have a comfortable silence with another individual without unnecessary jabbering. But Rogue was curious and she wanted to know.
