Kate rolled her eyes. Of course he would make it her problem. He was the king of doing that. It was really freaking annoying!
Although, following Clint's lead was actually surprisingly easy. Kate could admit he was doing a decent job... but she was better. He was stepping, she was dancing. There was a bounce in her step, while she smiled because it was supposed to be fun! And there was smoothness to her steps, too, that she knew looked good.
"Good, good!" Lisa ceased her counting and Kate stopped dancing, turning to look up front. "Now I'm going to teach you the missing steps. What you're going to do is take a small step back with your lead foot-- that's left for leads and right for follows-- on the fifth beat, then shift your weight from that lead foot to your other foot on the sixth beat. This will set you up to step with your lead foot again when we hit one. Watch as we demonstrate."
Chuck and Lisa did a quick triple step to the side, then one back and: "Step back, shift, and go again." After the lead off triple step, Lisa stepped away from Chuck and smiled at the class again. "Now you try. I'm going to count again, then we'll pick it up and then we'll try it to music! So-- one-and-two, three-and-four, five, six..."
Kate looked at Clint smirking. "Not to complicated for you, is it, Barton?" Yes, she was being a bit bratty. No, she didn't care. Giving him a hard time was a large part of why she'd made him accompany her in the first place.
