"Yeah...they're mandatory for all X-Men. Scott says it's to keep in shape, mentally and physically...holographic combat scenarios keep you sharp and ready for when you face the real thing."
Forge shrugs.
"I guess I can see the logic...they're non-lethal, you're in no actual danger in the Room...and I like the opportunity to test the its capabilities first hand. But if the situation ever comes that I need to join an active mission? Then it's bad. I'm not a fighter."
Trying to put it out of his mind, he soaks his jet-black hair in the spray, just letting the water slough the stress off of him.
"What about you? It's weird...you love building stuff, and you're as good at it as me, which is really saying something. But...you also seem like you're always ready to fight."
It's not said in a judgmental manner...at least, Forge hopes it doesn't come off that way. Just stuff he's observed from watching his friend.
