"Got it. Baird out," he quickly replied as he slid his communicator back in his pocket.
"Looks like your lucky day," Baird said begrudgingly to the blonde brawler. He quickly removed a small handheld computer from one of the other deep pockets on his cargo pants. A USB cable was attached.
"Triple-encryption-lock whatever-the-fuck" he mumbled to himself as he smirked. "Already have access via wi-fi..." He remembered installing the workaround earlier today; it only worked for his biometrics of course.
His stylus flew over the screen, tapping out the necessary code sequences and downloading the password for Creed's collar.
Calling it a password was incorrect. It was actually a code number; a prime number with more than forty-thousand digits. And that number was itself encrypted on the basis of yet another very large prime number. Thankfully he had the file downloaded to his palm-PC quickly.
"Alright Creed... USB port's here" he said wearily as he gestured to the left side of the collar and then reached up with the cable. "Stay still."
The cable slid into place. The collar made a few beeps. Then a few more in a rising tone. Several seconds later a large metallic click could be heard.
"Unlocked."
He suddenly felt even more grateful he had Storm present.
