Re: Traumatic Childhood Memories Time!
"Sounds like fun."
Will's grin at the mention of the sonic device is a little too fierce, but it softens when he looks at the small helper robot.
"He's cute. I know that's probably not the first thing you were thinking of when you were making him, but it's true. I think it's great that you built an assistant...I know what a pain in the ass cleanup work can be."
As he looks over the technology he's built, he blinks in astonishment.
"Wow. Everything here's in perfect shape...everything. Some of this stuff, I don't even remember how to perform maintenance on. You are smart!"
Inventing things is Forge's mutant power. He can build whatever you want out of anything that's handy. Once it's built, though, he's only as smart as your average engineer in taking care of it. He's had to reverse-engineer almost everything in the lab just to figure out how he made it work the first time...and even then, if something's relatively obscure or doesn't do anything Forge thinks is important, he'll usually just let it gather dust while he works on the next design.
Damon's next comment surprises him, and he blinks.
"The food? I never really think about it much...usually too busy. I guess it's fine though. Usually, I'm working so much dinner's usually cold by the time I eat it. Why, what's it like where you're from?"
