Kurt pursed his lips. Based on what he had heard of Creed, he had expected anger, more accusations, but not this. And in a way, it was quite worse, because he really didn't feel like Creed was faking it.
And why would he, anyway? He thinks I'm a lap dog, so he doesn't expect me to help him out of there. I don't think he would waste his time playing pointless mindgames with me.
Then again, he might just be that kind of unpleasant person. By the point Creed was finished, Kurt wanted to dissolve the zero gravity field just so he could slap him, and not many people could make him that aggressive.
"You're already floating and collared, though, so it's not like it could get any worse," Kurt said quietly, as if daring him. He really didn't want to hear what Creed had to say, but he felt like a coward for it. He had applied a sort of inner general pardon concerning his team member's pasts - hell, he even had talked Logan through some of his more gruesome returns to violence, assured him that he was no animal or monster - without exactly knowing what it was many of them had done.
Time to calm down. Kurt took a deep breath. "You know - maybe. Maybe some of them did things I don't approve of. But I'm not an angel myself, Herr Creed. I still think everyone has the potential to be good, and Logan and Remy have been trying hard."
