Kurt looked at Psylocke, somewhat surprised, but that expression quickly melted into a warm smile.
He hadn't known her well in his dimension, but he could guess some things about her. That, like Logan, she might have been willing to kill and maim, but was no murderer, unlogical as it sounded. Honorable in a chaotic sense, even if not considered to be so by any law.
Maybe Kurt was just too close to it all, maybe he was making excuses for them, in the end also for himself. It was true that the definition of morally good and evil Kurt employed had to stretch a lot to rightfully classify those team members whom their profession or life had changed into much more cynical or ruthless beings than himself. But he didn't even remotely consider hell was in store for any of them.
"You protected the school from what might well be a big threat, this is the most important thing. Sorry for arguing with commands, I know my head was not a loyal place in this fight," Kurt answered, still smiling at her. "I just, by coincidence, luck, had the advantage of a point of view not yet tainted by too much blood shed by Sabretooth."
There were boundaries concerning his ideals that he was not willing to cross. It was a struggle between standing up for what he believed in and not holding his team back.
"Anyone who participated is responsible. I could have refused to collar him. And I know," He looked at the man levitating inside the room, "what he did. Or I can imagine, if Logan's stories," and her troubled laugh, but he didn't want to mention it and make her uncomfortable, "are anything to go by."
Kurt looked after he. "And thank you for your words, meine Freundin*," he added, showing his teeth in a grin.
Now that Sabretooth was secure, Kurt left briefly only to put on clothes that weren'ts bloodstained, then returned. He wanted to be present when Creed was awake, now that Psylocke had half-officially given him the task. He didn't mind it at all - giving Logan a chance seemed crazy to many people who had seen the more unplesant side of the Wolverine. He was sure this Sabretooth was more than a savage, there were so few peopel who weren't. Standing by the cell, he waited for Creed to come around.
I wonder how Hank will treat him in there. Kurt had never seen this cell before. So there were differences from 'his' X-Mansion. If he has to get him out first, it might not be the worst thing he isn't alone to do it. Creed could still be dangerous.
