The collar felt heavy in his hand as he returned. Especially now, when he fell back on his instincts to run on all fours like he was an animal, too, he still felt they hadn't really given Creed a chance to give a proper answer.
Enough, he thought to himself, I can't let my team down. It might not feel like a job well done, but chickening out would only result in a longer fight, which he didn't want to subject anyone to, not his teammates, and if he was honest, not even the already beaten up Creed.
Back in the corridor, he stopped dead, melting into the shadow of a corner, invisible to the eye. He held the collar ready in one hand, evaluated the distance and then teleported, just as he had done before, landing on Creed's back. He slid his legs around the tall mutant's hips to give himself a basis and wiped the long blonde hair out of the way with his tail. Then, he let the collar snap shut around his neck, all in a matter of a second or two.
