Command Decisions Suck.
Cyclops' face is a mask of shock as he overhears the conversation through Psylocke's mental link.
Weapon X...I've read the files on it, but thought Wolverine'd put them out of business once and for all. And the Sentinels...
Images flash through his mind...Cyclops had never understood hatred before Bolivar Trask's Sentinels made their first appearance. And it was Stephen Lang's abduction of him and his friends, to test a new breed of Sentinels on them, that had led to Jean Grey becoming Phoenix in the first place. To say nothing of what had happened to the Changeling.
Smaller, smarter, stronger...this is really bad.
He controls himself with a visible effort and tabs the intercom.
"X-Men, stand down. Wolverine, Gambit, you two take Sabretooth to the brig to recuperate...we need to find out more, and right now he's our only source of information. Put him in the null-grav field...it's designed to promote healing."
And keep him incapable of hurting the people I'm in charge of.
"Obviously if he resists, defend yourselves, but avoid lethal force unless it's absolutely necessary."
Scott doesn't like ordering Logan and Remy around. Truth be told, he hates coming off as the uncompromising authority figure. But these decisions have to be made, and action taken...especially in a situation as dangerous and delicate as this.
"Compared to the threats he's told us about, Sabretooth's small change. And we're going to need him, like it or not, before this is through."
