The story which Ragnar spun reminded Bobby of mythology; similarly epic in scope and filled with godlike father-figures who were the source of the strength of their sons. Sounds like more Jesus crap he thought as his eyes drifted away from the Space Wolf's lupine gaze. Hearing about inheriting great legacies from such father figures reminded him too much of the Scott he knew, of the lectures he was subjected to. Guess that makes me Horus, huh? he thought. He remembered Chuck calling him a traitor too.
But Bobby wasn't defeated. He went on to live his own life, have his own career and do what he goddamn wanted. And eventually, Xavier had to swallow that humble pie (as reluctant as Chuck was to do so) and apologize; admit that it was Bobby who was right. Goddamn he loved remembering that moment; the professor's "I was wrong!" echoed over the comm system. Took him long enough to say it.
