Thor didn't notice Victor's disappointment over the origin of his products; he would have been even more contemptuous of the savage were he to have noticed. Thankfully, Thor's eye remained on the tags.
And then the tags moved away. Thor instantly followed as his eyes fearlessly met the Midgardian brute's.
And then Victor placed the tags around his neck with a solemnity he thought beyond the feral; a solemnity like he were honoring a shield brother. He remained silent and pondered, even as his gaze remained locked on Sabretooth's. He heard Creed's words, yet didn't react and didn't fully register them even as he felt the cool metal chain against the back of his neck.
The Asgardian nodded as he listened to Victor's proud voice, to Victor's statement that the chain came second only to Blink, and that they symbolized an endurance and refusal to break. He felt the beginnings of a comradely smile in the twitches of his facial muscles, but Victor's threat regarding his liver prematurely terminated such an expression.
"Rest assured, Victor," Thor responded in a sonorous voice, "I shall return your property, undamaged, when you return mine."
The red-blond watched as the mutant walked down the hallway; he closed the door slowly. At least the security-sorcery... 'surveillance' they called it... at least that will encourage him to be honest. After the door clicked shut, his finger slid beneath the chain of the dogtags and he lifted them off his neck. They are a meaningful possession to him he thought as he placed them on the shelf near the door with a delicate motion; the tags made a soft 'clink' as they touched the wooden surface.
He turned away and faced towards the bed again. He stated he'd return the products when he awoke. His own weariness crept up again, like lead weights being suspended from the back of his eyes. He strode over to the mattress and hoped Victor would honor his word and grant him an uninterrupted slumber.
His muscular body slid beneath the covers before his hand reached towards the lampshade and extinguished the room's illumination.
