Meggan's whole body was buzzing with excitement. While it could have been caused by an adrenaline rush she'd gotten by running around in the labyrinth, she knew it was because of what was happening (the proposal!). There were so many positive emotions swirling around her that she almost felt high. High on life. That was a saying she'd heard before and she most definitely believed it was a thing.
As Troy and Kiernan dropped the fog and illusions, she had changed her looks back to normal. She clapped along with the others after Rhia accepted Kiernan's proposal. Rhia and Kiernan were so happy and in love. It was perfect. Her gaze moved to Brian who was standing across the way. His face was lit up in a smile and it caused her heart to melt. It was what always happened when he grinned, or even just smirked.
No, they weren't new feelings. They were feelings that she hadn't acted on. Her gaze was locked and her feet were moving forward. It was almost like she wasn't in her body, but she could feel the insistent thrumming of her heartbeat as she moved toward the tall blond. At the moment, it was the only thing she could hear. He was the only thing she could see.
It was really only a few yards in between them, it felt like miles. When she reached him, she her hands moved up to his shoulders and her feet left the ground in order to be able to reach his face. Her eyes met his for a heartbeat before she pressed her lips to his. She felt a spiky heat course through her. After a few moments, she broke the kiss and grinned before she spoke. "I've been waiting - and wanting - to do that for ages." Meggan's voice was breathy. "I just wanted you to know."
