"How much have you filled him in - did you get to the camera footage?"
"Cameras? At the club?"
"No, here."
Eva partially grimaced, feeling a bit lacking. She'd been with her students up until that point of Captain America's visit, however, so she shrugged off the nagging feeling of being under-prepared before her mentor and focused on the issue at hand. A greater reach? Steve had a point, of course, but the bad feeling they all shared seemed to be hitting a little closer to home than she was comfortable with. Logan was obviously in the school last night... and she'd done the footwork manually and mentally to check for signs of him in the footage. Her short train of thought was broken by Jon's fanboyish remarks and she blinked herself back to the here-and-now.
"That's idiotic."
She clasped her hand over her mouth to hide the laugh that her pinched lips were doing well enough at keeping in, then nodded her confirmation as she lowered her arm again and looked to Steve with a smile. Charles Xavier had put the entire hospitality industry to shame during his personal reign over the school, and she intended to make everyone in need or offering aid feel just as comfortable and at home as he had.
"I mean, if you'll have me, Eva?"
Oh. Phrasing, Steven. Phrasing. "Of course, don't be idiotic," her eyebrows raised on the last word and her smile was too wide to hide the fact that she was teasing Forge. She touched Cap's arm. "I'll make up a spare staff room after lunch." Personally. The last time she'd asked for help in that department Troy had left a chocolate and a freaky note on the pillow of their guest. She shook the memory off and leaned her body so that she could see who was darkening her doorway. "Welcome back, guys." Astrape greeted, evenly. She was still touching Cap's arm. Her hand fell. Part of her hoped they had telling news, and a smaller part of her was just wishing that Warren and Luke had simply had a nice lunch. "Steve?" Huh, weird. "This is Lucas Bishop and Warren Worthington, NYPD mutant division. They're alumni. Guys - er, Captain America." She gestured to Steve with both her hands like he was a birthday cake alight.
