Re: 3-Acre Corn Maze!
Aleksandr shared a tidbit about his old life and Qiana smiled as she completed the connection. She felt as if she were willing him to partake in a slice of life.
"You are kind and you are just. It is no surprise a relative of Raven enjoys your company."
As she stepped back, Qiana's eyes crinkled with a happy little smile that was also a bit teary. Why couldn't he just come ghost around with them? She looked back at Jimmy when he was mentioned, and she agreed with what Mr. Zaleski had said, but her eyes were clearly pleading to Warpath: 'Can we keep him?'.
A sensitive. It was a fair adjective for an empath, Tress reasoned, but something about it felt coded as old-timey 'gay'. Maybe he was both. Or maybe she was too woke. Or maybe she needed to shut off her brain under her great big hair and just listen. Good timing: "She is." Jimmy was so sweet. And there would be a conversation later where she told Eva about Aleksandr's assessment of Mr. Jimothy Proudcloud.
"We call that an empath."
"This sounds like something we might need all hands on deck for..." the Latina said, squinting one eye at having said it. In the past few years, a lot of their big hitters had moved on or traveled to places where they were much more needed. "Like the Professor." Their true captain.
Minor rustled through the corn and mist and barged into the conversation as if they'd been awaiting his arrival. He moved straight for Jimmy and only avoided clipping someone with the spear by accident. He spat it out at Jimmy's feet and looked up at Inti. "Brrrrrowr. Rrrr," he said, and his paw batted the thing closer to his boots. The bear then turned his head and acknowledged the other semi-spirit in 'the room' and snorted a greeting. Then, he leaned onto Qiana because he really needed some sympathy and pets.
She obliged but her eyes were still fixated on the spear that the bear had delivered. After a moment, she looked up at Jimmy, then Aleksandr. Oh, right. "This is Minor," she said, perhaps unnecessarily.
