Mild. Nothing about her son was mild, she thought with a mixture of emotions. Mostly fondness. Still, she took the necklace in hand and felt it between her fingers, shifting it to and fro. It was still warm from his skin. She wrapped her fist around it to make sure it stayed that way, as if to ensure nothing cold would touch her child. She never wanted him to feel the way she just had - weak and chilled. As the minutes passed, however, she was regaining her strength, probably to the detriment of Mr. Zale's electric bill. "Thank you." The thing would be investigated and run through every test Forge could rig, but it would hopefully, eventually, be place on her son.
He was rewarded with a smirk at the Santiago-esque remark, but Eva's eyes lost a bit of vigor at the mention of whispers and spells. At least, it seemed, Nate felt it had been a monster they knew. "You are a Magic Mouse," the mixed woman said at the revelation of chocolate. She couldn't recall if she'd said her thought aloud earlier in the car, but it didn't seem to matter at the moment. There was candy. And another source of warmth that she hadn't even realized was there until just then. His hand was still upon her. Instead of feeling marauded, there was comfort still in the connection, and her right hand with the necklace rose to touch the one on her shoulder. It was a gesture of good faith, all while here eyes were focused on the task at hand.
Finally, Miss Silvercloud gave a cleansing exhale; a sigh that allowed the last of her tension to release so that she could regain her properly trained posture and refocus on the hard and cold of it all. She was not in a Prince music video, nor was she in Brooklyn or Hogwarts or Agrabah. The mystical whirlwind of new experiences had gotten her a bit inebriated, and it was only mid-day. Poor form. So, Zap cleared her throat, set her face to an attentive, curious arrangement, then asked: "Dinner?" The mutant woman needed some R and R - reset and rally. She also needed to hug her child, finish her day's work and have a chat with her dad. Then she could begin to address the rest of it. They could dive deeper. She opened her Take 5 and took a chomp.
