"It's fine," Rhia said, waving a hand dismissively. Fjolnir found someone new to whine to about her. She didn't 'get it', frankly; it wasn't like she'd been going out of her way to treat him poorly or speak badly about him behind his back. On the contrary, she'd been downright civil since coming to stay in the palace on Alfheim. "We'll figure it out at some point, I'm sure, but for now, I'd like to focus on surviving our first outing together as a family."
Freyr was fine. They were making progress, albeit at a pace that wasn't quite fast enough for the king's liking. Skadi seemed to be thawing out a bit and speaking to her regularly. Fjolnir, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy playing the put-upon older brother (see: The Victim) because she was quite obviously The Worstâ„¢. Her older self might've bent over backward to gain his approval. She'd been such a people pleaser back then, and it'd made her miserable.
"So, how are you handling," she made a sweeping gesture, "to all this?" Eva might've been the one to make it happen but that didn't mean it'd be an easy adjustment. Her own mind was reeling, despite the magical memory implants.
