The wintry goddess' chill was keenly felt but Rhiannon was determined not to let it get her down. She'd come this far and she had every intention of taking this all the way. She stood her ground and continued to smile - mostly in part of how Torben was being made to wave via mama bear. He was too precious.
Eva made note that there'd been a seat reserved for her at the 'big kids' table. "I noticed," she said, smile waning somewhat. Don't get her wrong, it was a kind gesture but it seemed a bit... premature. She and her father hadn't even had a proper conversation yet and he was already wanting to invite her into the fold? Judging by the fact that (who she assumed to be) her brother had hastily left the table when she approached, she wasn't the only one feeling that way.
Oh, right, the presents. "Oh, yes, I did," Rhia spoke truthfully. "They were exceptionally nice." And truth be told, unexpected. "You didn't need to get me anything but thank you." He'd said he needed no thanks but it would've been rude not to - in her opinion, at least. "How can I be of use to you, d-dear girl. You look ravishing and well-fed, might I add!" Ravishing? That was an interesting choice of words. "Thank you," she said, hoping she wasn't looking too bewildered. "I don't require anything. I just wanted to let you know that we can talk whenever you have the time."
That was better than saying 'it's safe for you to approach me now', right?
"You're looking festive, by the way."
