MUSES: Bucky, Sam, and OPEN. TOPIC: "I'm not really a frisbee kinda guy." DATE/TIME: Friday, 10-19-18 @ 10:00am. LOCATION: Wakandan Embassy, Vernal Asgard. RATING: Fine.
Vernal Asgard: A delicate balance of technological achievement and splendid antiquity, even the sidewalks of Vernal Asgard were something to behold. A Disney World-esque, Jules Verne inspired utopia which impressed delegation from Wakanda along with everyone else who journeyed to the floating isle.
Bucky held the shield and noticed the surface had been repaired since last time he'd touched it. His pale reflection and dark hair appeared in the polished metal, which caused Bucky to angled it away. The White Wolf hardy felt worthy. "I don't understand Sam." His brow heavy with confusion. "Steve wanted you to have it."
"Yeah, well." Sam's trademark twinkle appeared, without even the hint of a smile. Wilson still held a bit of a grudge against Steve's BBF, mostly because how many times he nearly died for their love. "He wanted me to be Captain America and I've got plenty of vibranium toys to play with." Along with a brand new star-spangled-uniform, Sam had upgraded his wings with all the Wakandan and Stark tech he could get his hands on. "Besides, I'm not really a frisbee kinda guy." The decidedly non-super-solider admitted. "Look, I'm not saying you have to use it. Put it in Thor's vault until Steve comes back. Unless you know where he went?" Sam fished, but he doubted Bucky would betray Steve's trust... that easily.
Bucky's eyes flashed between the shield and Sam, "Not exactly," he answered about his Steve Roger's new location. "Closer to Germany than you'd expect." Barnes shared; he did know that Steve had picked remote piece of Europe to try retirement out for size. "Yeah. Maybe I'll let Thor hold on to it." He continued, with no commitment in his voice. "Are you sticking around for a while?" He asked Sam, while the pair stood outside Asgard's Wakandan embassy.
"Nah," Sam started, head cocked toward the nearest edge of the floating island. "I parked at the mansion. I just came by to deliver that, and brief Thor and Eva on my latest intel from D.C." The delicate negotiations between Vernal Asgard and the United States government wasn't going great. "But I've got a lot of work to do. Steve handed over the keys at a pretty bad time." Sam smirked, only partial annoyed...
"To be fair, he fought enough Nazis for one lifetime." Bucky reminded Sam with a sigh. They both had. "Sam..." The White Wolf struggled, but luckily for Bucky, Sam Wilson had known enough veterans in his life.
"I get it." Sam stopped Barnes before this got embarrassing. "God knows you've seen enough. You wanna chill up here, work on your Jesus look, and let the younger generation solve its own problems, you earned it."
"Thanks, Sam." Bucky nodded, relieved that the new Captain America hadn't come to recruit him. "Jesus look?" The man with long hair and a beard asked, until he remembered the Wakandan robes he'd been known to wear on occasion. "Funny."
