"Besides, you haven't met my brother yet. He's a special one. He'll behave."
Zap had her doubts. But she had faith in Thor's judgment. So she smiled anyway and kissed his head again before his one natural eye flashed the devil inside. Her eyebrows rose and Eva's head cocked to the side. She hadn't considered any of that - quite obviously. There hadn't been a thought in her head about an altered future from the one she'd envisioned. Of course, his prediction (or offer) wasn't unappealing. Her face relaxed and Zap's chest rose and fell with the weight of it all. "I don't need a title for a little city planning," she joked, but hopefully her eyes conveyed that she understood his meaning about their relationship.
"But speaking of my bear..." When he was mentioned, throughout the day thus far, she'd been able to tap into what he was seeing; to be in synch with the normally independent being. "I feel more connected to him. Not just like a stronger bond, but actually connected. More than with Troy and Jimmy. I don't feel like I can control him," and she wouldn't want to, necessarily, "but I see things the way he does. Maybe this is what he had with me all along..." Which was why he had a tendency to show up when she needed him most, and didn't just linger continually. "I guess that means I can do more for him now." She shrugged, though. Thor apparently had more experience with astral bears and magic than she did, so floating the thought by him couldn't hurt. Despite having a better grasp on her abilities and feeling they'd intensified greatly, she still didn't have a clear understanding of their true power, or even the nitty-gritty of it all.
His head came through the wall and Minor made an inquisitive noise; his ears must have been burning.
"Where's Stormbreaker, you thief?"
His head disappeared back through the wall into the room next door.
Zap laughed against Thor and put her forehead on his when she finally settled. "I don't know what's going to happen with my powers," her DNA, really, "after things are put back, but either way I'll be able to help you. Either as an engineer or a sorceress." It sounded funny to say. She had some ideas though, for guidance in either arena - some knowledgable allies.
