She cackled at his remark about heroin and his calling her out, but was silenced when he commented on her heart rate. She'd simply hummed a "mmhmm" in response. "Yes," she did. She'd worked hard to get that cheese on her leg. "I've got more," Gael uttered, dismissively. Her mind was focused on Ronan's stealthy fingers and how they were brushing at and tugging on her tights. Her grin returned when his attention turned back to himself. "Jaysus with the jeans," she interjected, "were they woven from saint's robes?" Again, he silenced her. He'd made the threat before. He'd yet to carry out the punishment. The idea of the act subconsciously made her knees part.
Her lower lip was numb. She released it. Oh. It'd been jammed between her teeth since his hand had touched her leg. Reverie followed orders and readied her extremely dry mouth for a cold drink, even if it was after Mars. But he poured it on his fucking pants. Pretzel... she swallowed. "WHAT THE F-" She shuddered and smacked at Ronan with both hands, "Ye're mental," she accused, then turned up the heat on her side of the car.
Gael smacked the bottom of the ice cold car water bottle and a fountain flew out the top and all over both of them (but mostly Ronan). "I'm ye're only Lyft rider," she said through clenched teeth. "Ye got my glasses," okay, she'd gotten her glasses. And his. They were probably going to do some off-roading at this rate. She pulled her specs free of her face and stuffed them in her pocket. She didn't dare wipe and replace. He was wily as hell.
Between the rowdy atmosphere and the cold, Gael'd had it with roughhousing. But not enough harmless flirting... "I need this back," the Irish lass insisted and leaned far out of her seat to shake like the leaf she was on the branch of Mars' arm. After a few minutes of resting and warming and quiet, she finally spoke again. "It sounds fuckin' pitiful, but no one's said that before. I mean, other than me mam," but even that had been a stretch for the woman (rest her soul). "'I love you', I mean. I'm glad ye did. I feel like we missed a lot o' good times."
Maybe he did too. Maybe they were just trying to play catch up now.
"Past life?" she suggested, mostly because she was a jackass too.
