Eva's words frustrated Piotr to no end, how dare she be so heartfelt and genuine? A tear escaped Colossus' eye and made a break down his cheek, and the Russian wished it had only been for his crumbling relationship. Zap's explanation itself would have caused Pete to become emotional, he lost track of where his self-pity started and his empathy for her ended.
Mostly, Piotr felt akin to a boxer that was only allowed to take punches and not permitted to return them. Colossus wanted to break... everything. He'd have torn the very elevator from the mansion and launched it across the grounds had Eva not been inside of it. Zap, his great muse, currently inspired his abilities to yell in Russian and his tendency to use brute strength in a tight situation. The great cosmic joke of it all, however, was that Pete couldn't do either at the moment.
"I love you, Eva." Piotr reminded her, frankly nearly vexed from the elevator. "And I feel so though the surf has pulled the sand from beneath my feet." He wasn't expecting another apology, but the Russian struggled with the sudden turn of events. Though, perhaps he shouldn't have. After one night in a booth, Pete and Zap had rekindled a decade old love affair. Balls. "I am attempting to make sense of this... truly." He offered, "However, my soul wants to prove that you belong with me."
